Shalom Simhon - Minister of Industry, Trade & Labor of Israel, visited Romania on 30-31 August 2011. On this occasion, His Excellency had a meeting with Mr. Academic Lecturer. Dr. Nasty Vladoiu, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania - Israel, with whom he discussed medium and long term business projects between the two countries.
On Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Chandeliers Hall from Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania Palace, a ceremony has been held for handing over the Document of Certifying the quality of public usefulness for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romania-Israel and another 33 Bilateral Chambers of Commerce.
Peres Center for Peace marks it’s 10 years anniversary
Between 26-28 October, the Peres Center for Peace has celebrated ten years of projects based on cooperation between Israelis and neighboring communities in the Arab world, programs which have touched the lives of tens of thousands of people.
The President of The Romania – Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry accompanied by the Secretary General have been invited together with other 300 international leaders, politicians, businessmen, media representatives, sports and movie stars to take part in the anniversary celebrations, to show their support for the center's initiatives and to set a new agenda for peace in the Middle East.
On the occasion of this meeting is has been set up the foundation of a project, at the initiative of Mr. Academic Lecturer Dr. Nasty Marian Vladoiu, in which the business environment will be involved in an attempt to stabilize the peace process in the Middle East. The "Business for Peace" project was proposed by the Romanian side and received with real interest by the representatives of Peres Center for Peace and others.
The festivities took place in Tel Aviv over three days and had included discussions directed by panels of professionals as well as musical and artistic performances.
One of the highlights of the conference has been the inauguration of the Peres Peace House in Jaffa, in the presence of President Shimon Peres and Tel Aviv Mayor, Ron Huldai.
